The Reiki Council of India is a national body made up of professional Reiki teachers and practitioners, congruent to a uniform thoughts, ideas and regulation. The community supports each other in their practices and teachings of the traditional Usui form of Reiki, across the country.Reiki Council of india is registered under the Govt of Telengana.
The RCI body is established in the India and extends the services abroad as part of the alliance with the worldwide Reiki family. It is a not-for-profit organization which supports Reiki practitioners and those exploring a life with Reiki as a spiritual practice and healing art. We also facilitate connection and create a platform for people practicing Reiki so that they may share experiences, learn, support and find friendship with other likeminded Reikians.
RCI is an organization for you and work to create a supportive environment within Reiki for all independent Reiki Practitioners and Master Teachers. We provide a wider space and platform for knowledge sharing, extended support and growth in spiritual, personal and professional area.
RCI was Ideated and incepted in 2016 by a group of likeminded professional Reiki masters, who wanted to set standards in the practices and teachings in India and bring all the practioners under one umbrella. This confluence will help them get recognized and also get benefit for their teaching and practice.

About RCI Standards
Recognition as a Registered RCI Professional Member shows that you have attained the highest standards of professionalism and service in Reiki, applied anywhere in India.
We in RCI design programs for various public symposiums to promote Reiki and its key benefits to the public and enthusiasts who can understand Reiki and its holistic effects. It would also advocate best practices for the Reiki masters using effective methods as tools.
RCI’s core agenda is to set benchmark and standards for the practioners and professionals in teaching the science of Reiki. The council’s duty is also to create compliance for the associated members who are registered with RCI to follow uniform code of conduct and practices.
The Codes of Ethics & Standards of Practice were evaluated following consultation with the Reiki Council of India Boards and other members.
PURPOSE OF STANDARDS
(a) To establish and maintain standards of ethics and practice relating to the conduct of members of the Reiki Council of India and their relationship with community for a good cause.
(b) To inform and protect:
Members of the public seeking and/or using Reiki
Members of the Reiki Council of India.
All Practitioner members of the Reiki Council of India will be required to sign their agreement to uphold this Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice and agree to abide by the Disciplinary Procedures as a condition of membership. RCI CODE OF ETHICS
Integrity - Respect – Trust
The Reiki Council of India holds the following fundamental ethical principles, which all members will endeavour to uphold.
To work with integrity, impartiality and respect for all individuals.
All professional relationships and interactions will be ethical and non-exploitative.
The highest standards of practice must be observed.
Confidentiality must be respected.
Every member of RCI should respect each other without any prejudices
Every member of RCI should follow 5 principles of Reiki
CODES OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:
Ethical principles of Reiki Council of India to specify its code of safety during the course of professional practice.
1. SECURE & SAFTEY:
All Reiki Practitioners must be adequately secured to practice
a) Reiki Practitioners must never claim to ‘cure’ and use suffix “Dr” unless until register Medical Practitioner or PhD candidate or they hold appropriate qualifications.
b) If another therapy is used in conjunctions with Reiki don’t permission client to stop.
c) Reiki Council of India members should not claim as medical council registration, this is promoted as Healing Therapy Council.
d) A Reiki Practitioner must use Reiki Healing Practitioner ID Card during practice.
e) Reiki Practitioners should recognize the client’s right to refuse Reiki or disregard advice.
f) The Reiki Practitioner should make it clear to the client why they are refusing or postponing the Reiki session such as:
If the client is under the influence of alcohol or mind altering substances;
If the client is intimidating or offensive, in a physical or sexual manner, or otherwise;
If the client behaves in any way which may lead the Reiki Practitioner to feel physically unsafe, disrespected, or abused;
In the case of late attendance of the client, the Reiki Practitioner may exercise discretion in refusing treatment;
g) A copy of the Codes of Ethics & Standards of Practice should be available to the client on request.
h) Certificates and other qualifications shall be displayed at professional place
i) A Reiki Practitioner shall be aware of their own professional limitations and refer a client elsewhere when the need demands.
Before healing, Reiki Practitioners must explain fully, either in writing or verbally, all the procedures involved in the healing including such matters as client records, likely content and length of consultations, likely number of consultations, and fees, etc. It is not possible to guarantee the outcome of any course of treatment, therefore, the terms on which it is offered should be stated clearly before the first session of Reiki.
3. EMPOWERMENT OF THE CLIENT:
a) Reiki Practitioners should be empathic, supportive and positive, thus encouraging uplift in the client’s mental outlook, and a belief in a progression towards good health practices.
b) Reiki Practitioners must not against any instructions or prescriptions given by a doctor. Reiki Practitioners must not advise a particular course of medical treatment, such as to undergo an operation or to take specific drugs. It must be left to the client to make his/her own decision to take medical advice or you can suggest to any physician.
c) Reiki Practitioners should not diagnose the disease unless Medical practitioner.
d) Reiki Practitioners should refrain from making judgements upon the choices made by clients, and the way in which clients choose to conduct their lives.
4. CLIENT ASSESSMENT:
a) Reiki Practitioners send the client immediately to concern Hospital if it emergency, but should not deal with false promise.
b) The Reiki Practitioner will make a base-line assessment prior to the first Reiki session and discuss appropriate aftercare.
d) A client should not be advised to discontinue prescribed medication without consulting their doctor.
e) All advice must be recorded for the Reiki Practitioner’s protection.
a) Reiki Practitioners, their assistants and receptionists have an implicit duty to keep all information relating to attendance, records and views formed about clients, entirely confidential. No disclosure may be made to a third party, including any member of the client’s own family, without the client’s consent.
b) If a Reiki Practitioner believes an individual intends to harm or abuse a child, or learns of any terrorist activity then the confidentiality guidelines are overridden. The Reiki Practitioner is obliged by law to report this to the appropriate authorities.
6. CLIENT’S RECORDS:
a) Records are to be kept in safe custody for seven years from the time of the last consultation.
b) Reiki Practitioners should arrange for the correct disposal of case records in the event of their death.
7. PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND LIMITATIONS:
a) The relationship between the Reiki Practitioner and client should be of the highest professional standard. Due diligence of care, skill and integrity should be demonstrated at all times.
b) Reiki Practitioners/Teachers must not exploit their clients/students financially, sexually, emotionally or in any other way.
c) Reiki Practitioners must not request the removal of clothing except for coat and footwear.
d) Reiki Practitioners shall be without judgment concerning race, color, creed, gender or sexual orientation.
8. RESPONSIBILITIES TO OTHERS:
a) Reiki Practitioners shall seek a good relationship and work in a co-operative manner with other healthcare professionals, recognizing and respecting their particular contribution within the healthcare team, irrespective of whether they work from an allopathic, Alternative or complementary perspective.
b) Reiki Practitioners will encourage understanding of Reiki within other fields and modalities within the healthcare sector.
9. SOLICITING OF CLIENTS:
a)Reiki Practitioners shall not encourage clients away from other professional colleagues.
b) If Reiki Practitioners is in ill conditions, he shouldn’t give Reiki to others.
10. REIKI IN HOSPITALS:
a) The hospital is responsible for the patient; Reiki Practitioners should focus on healing.
b) Reiki Practitioners may only give Reiki to patients in hospitals with permission from the patient, or the person authorized to make decisions on their behalf, and the person responsible for their medical care.
c) Reiki Practitioners shall not give the impression that they are a medical professional or a member of hospital staff. The Reiki Practitioner may have some form of identification such as a RCI ID Card.

REIKI COUNCIL OF INDIA PROCEDURES:
a) All members will follow and abide by decisions made under the disciplinary procedures of the Reiki Council of India.
b) The primary concern of the Reiki Council of India shall be to protect the public & Healers and to recognize in India as Mode of Holistic Healing Therapy.
13. ADVERTISING/PUBLIC STATEMENTS:
a) Advertising must be discreet and dignified in tone. It shall not contain testimonials or claim a cure or mention any disease. It shall be confined to drawing attention to the therapy available, the qualifications of the Reiki Practitioner and offering general information regarding Reiki.
b) The Reiki Council of India’s Logo can only be used to advertise events that are being officially organized on behalf of the Reiki Council of India, and by Practitioner Members subject to specific criteria, available on request.
c) Reiki Council of India doesn’t produce any Reiki Certificate, it has right to give affiliation to all institute with FREE of cost.
d) Recognize or affiliated institute may use Reiki Council of India’s logo in Certificate.
e) Board members of Reiki Council of India can use their designation with RCI logo in visiting card.
14. Eligibility of RCI member:
a) Council registration benefits to practitioners that will help to recognize in India.
b) All Reiki Practitioner are eligible to get membership of RCI with produce their certificate.
c) Membership annual fees first time 1000/- and renewal fees 500/- along with Xerox copy of certificate, filled RCI form and color passport photo.
d) Life time membership fees 5000/-
e) All State & District Coordinators has to collect RCI form and submit to National Coordinators
